London Day 3

London Day 3 : The weather was "brilliant" again today. We started off at the Portobello Street Market around 10 am. There was some fun stuff there - lots of vintage clothes. We had a delicious felafel sandwhich and fresh lemonade for lunch there as well. We then wandered over to the Nottinghill area and found alot of cute little boutique shops - except they were extremely expensive (like $400-$800 shoes, etc). There was a really cool public lavatory there as well (the turquoise, wedge shaped building with a flower shop on the front of it). Then we went over to the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens. There was a really large memorial to Prince Albert in the park where we sat under a shade tree to rest our feet. We've been walking for eight hours a day with no rest and our feet are starting to really get sore... but that was not going to stop us from shopping because H&M was on the list for later in the day... We then went and looked around Kensington Palace, where Princess Diana used to live. We should have been royalty... We then made our way through several stores down Kensington High Street to H&M!!! You would only understand if you've been there and been happy to spend WAY more than you know you should have. It's an addiction you see. We were there for at least two hours and would have been there for longer if they didn't close at eight. We then got on the subway with our huge bag'o clothes and went back to our hostel to eat our Indian food left overs from the previous two nights. Becky tried to sleep with all of her new clothes like they were teddy bears, she even lulla-byed them until she fell asleep. It is now day 4 and we are about to head out again...
